All of your fave Behemoth brews in one spot.
About us
A local place; a place where the beer is cold, the food is tasty, and everyone knows your name.
At Churly’s we will aim to offer a truly unique experience where as soon as you enter, you can feel the passion, taste the quality, become part of the family.
Our open brewery aims to allow each customer to imbibe in the brewing experience. The beer is made right here, and each customer gets to sit in the brewery’s shadow to enjoy a quality, tasty beer exactly as the brewers meant. The same goes for our kitchen. Our guests can watch the chefs at work, either by sitting at the bar or a nearby table, for more intimacy, through the open kitchen.
Located close to the city, at the top Dominion Road, Churly’s is a center point between Kingsland, to the west, Mt Eden, to the east, Uptown, to the North, and Auckland’s Chinatown, to the South. And, with the continually growing spread, out from the city, it is probably one of the most central properties to allow a mixed use of light industrial manufacturing and hospitality.
Churly’s: The Butcher & the Brewer
We, Andrew and Hannah (Miller) Childs, began our relationship over a good beer and four years later, not much has changed. Constantly on the search for great food, we have travelled the world, gaining ideas for Churly’s and what we want to bring to New Zealand.
When we first met, I (Hannah) was impressed that someone would give up a career in law (yes, Andrew is a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand) to follow their dream of brewing beer. Who does that? But, as we got to know each other, I found that his passion for beer was only matched by my passion for food, and this quickly led to our mutual obsession of matching the two together. We love all food, and drinks, and offer an array of wines, spirits, ciders, and non-alcoholic beverages alongside a selection of tasty vegetarian options at the pub, but our core focus is on butchery and brewing.
